Somewhat in the vein of Zoidberg and Future next gen S2K’s posts a couple hours ago, I’m completely over it with work for this week/month/year/life.
Luckily, I’m now drunk and no longer care enough to elaborate. S taring at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as I got drunk has actually helped! I’m hoping to head there this weekend, albeit not to ride that trail (nor others of it’s ilk) . It’s closed to the public at least until the World Cup, and I have neither the skill nor a low enough deductible on my health insurance to give gaps that size a run.

Are you planning on biking while in that vicinity, or doing other activities? That part of WV is awesome for biking, but it’s about as remote as you can get. It’s highly likely that you’ll become bear food if you wreck yourself too badly, there’s just not enough people traffic that you’ll get found.
That’s part of the appeal though.

Yeah, I’ve spent a lot of time in the woods in SW Virginia and West Virginia doing dumb things on bicycles , and it really is appealing to get out that far away from everything and everyone.
Bike park is good, though. They send out sweepers at the end of the day to make sure the dead bikers don’t become bear food.
